Swift expands high speed metal

10-02-2012
by

Australian owned metal stamping and components manufacturer Swift Metal Services has expanded its range of high-speed stamping machinery to facilitate faster, more competitive production runs of small metal components.

With metal stamping run speeds of up to 100 parts per minute, their cutting edge technology high speed press incorporate a servo-feeder and straightner/decoiler and is capable of 500mm per second material feed.

The stamped stainless steel gripper (pictured) illustrates the type of parts produced in Swift Metal Services Pty Ltd main production facility based in Griffith, in regional NSW. Galvanised, stainless steel and copper parts are pressed and formed with greater accuracy, maintaining higher quality, whilst being comparative pricewise with imports.

Australian manufacturers using the expanded metal stamping and steel forming capabilities, can expect a significant reduction in lead times, resulting in lower inventory of stock items.
