New impact wrenches go underground

14-02-2012

Industrial Air Tools has released ½” and ¾” impact wrenches with steel and polymer outer casings for a wide variety of applications.

The new wrenches are powered by the well-known and proven Shinano air motors, made in Japan.

These new APT branded tools have no exposed light metal parts, which are unsuitable for underground mines.

The new look rubber hand grip makes them comfortable to hold, absorb vibration and protect the operator’s hand from the cold.

The ½” model produces a powerful 850Nm or 627ft lb of max torque while the ¾” puts out a mighty 1650Nm or 1217ft lb.

Both models are also available at a competitive price with long anvils for access in recessed wheels or other hollow areas.
