Richard Crake
Richard Crake joined Pacific Hoists, a leading Australian- owned lifting and materials handling company, after a career in Unilever industrial companies in UK, France and Australia.
Pacific Hoists specializes in a wide variety of hoists and winches for manufacturing, boating, mining, rigging and rescue industries.
Richard succeeded the late Michael Herbert at the helm of Pacific Hoists and has continued to build on the foundations laid down by the founder, Dennis Herbert.
Pacific Hoists was only the third company in Australia to achieve full LEAA membership, an achievement of which management and staff is immensely proud.

Gary Stewart
Gary began his career in 1964 in finance positions for the BHP subsidiaries Ropeworks, Wiremills, Wire Products in Newcastle, NSW and Papua New Guinea.
In 1979 he moved into marketing management at BHP Lifting (Sydney).
After leaving BHP Lifting in 2002 Gary was employed by A. Noble & Sons, Sydney, in senior sales/service roles. Here he gained hands-on experience in rope installations, testing, heavy lifting in mining, shipping, defence, construction and oil refining industries.
He moved to Townsville in North Queensland early last year to take on a Technical/Sales role for All-Rig Lifting Lifting and Engineering Supplies.

Ashley Thacker
Ashley joined Ranger Industrial Supplies more than 10 years ago after leaving school.
After working as a licensed rigger for Ranger he moved into sales.
He was appointed Sales Manager and is currently General Manager, responsible for sales and the general day-to-day running of the business.
Ranger organized for Ashley to travel to Huntingdon, UK, to be fully trained by LEEA.
Ranger was audited by LEEA and then granted full membership status in November 2010 – the first independent lifting house in Australia to obtain this.

Jason Francis
Jason is Branch Manager of Stenhouse Lifting Equipment at Yatala, an outer suburb on the Queensland Gold Coast.
He has been working in the lifting and height safety equipment industry for the past 10 years both in Qld and NSW.
Jason has had more than 20 years’ sales experience in a variety of industries.
His roles include on-road sales, sales management as well as branch management at Stenhouse’s Wacol and Yatala facilities in Queensland over the past two years.

Jim Linthorne
Jim began his career engaged in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection work on various onshore and offshore facilities in the North West of Australia.
He later moved onto fabrication, testing and inspection all types of lifted and lifting equipment.
He is currently QHSE Manager and technical adviser for the Vertech Group – an Australian-owned, Perth based company supplying specialist access, inspection and maintenance packages to the global energy industry.
Vertech is a full member of LEEA and Jim is a LEEA team cardholder.

Stephen Batten
Stephen had 20 years’ experience as a senior finance executive in a number of companies including KPMG, Coles Myer and Mayne Group before taking over Hasemer Materials Handling from his father in 2005.
In 2008 he bought Victorian-based Redfern Flinn Lifting Equipment – specialists in industrial cranes and hoists for more than 35 years.
He is currently owner and Managing Director of Redfern Flinn Lifting Equipment and Hasemer Materials Handling.
Redfern Flinn has been a LEEA member for the past two years.

Steve Anderson
Steve has been involved in the lifting industry for 24 years. He spend 12 years with Sling Rig before launching The Rigging Shed with business partner Steve Flint in 2001.
Steve is conversant with most aspects with Lifting and Rigging equipment as well as sales, testing, training and management. He has implemented a number of new procedures enabling the Rigging Shed to gain NATA & DNV accreditations.

Steve Thacker
Steve Thacker is the co-founder with two other partners of Ranger Industrial Supplies, established in 1998.
He is now the sole owner and director.
Steve, who migrated to Australia with his young family in the early 90’s, has an impressive background in construction and commercial developments.
Ranger Industrial is an independent Lifting House always striving for excellence.
Early last year Ranger became the first independent lifting house in Australia to obtain full LEEA membership.

Todd Robertson
Todd Robertson is the General Manager of Robertsons Lifting & Rigging.
Todd joined Robertsons in 1995 and has worked in all areas of the business.
When he first joined Robertsons, Todd learned the technical trades of the lifting and rigging industry by working in the factory and in the field as a testing officer, wire rope splicer and on-site inspector.
In 2007, Todd became General Manager of Robertsons, which today has 13 branches nationally and more than 150 staff members.
It is one of the largest specialised lifting, rigging and height safety businesses in Australia.
Todd is a member of the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association and sits on the Australian Standards Committee ME025 for lifting tackle.
