Liftco Industrial Supplies, a dedicated provider of lifting devices to the crane and manufacturing industry, is celebrating its 20th year in business.

Based at Ingleburn in Western Sydney, Liftco is a specialist importer and distributor of cost effective, simple and reliable safety and electrification equipment for overhead cranes throughout Australia.

“The primary focus of our product range is to improve safety protocols and help reduce repair and maintenance costs on overhead cranes,” says Liftco founder and CEO Merilyn Glenn.

All Liftco products help reduce maintenance costs and suit most types of applications for rope and chain, cranes and hoists.

The Liftco range of products includes:

  • Load limiter
  • Load limiter chains
  • Side pulling prevention devices
  • Rope drum and guide protectors
  • Conduct bars and spares
  • C Track and Diamond Track system

Overhead cranes are designed to raise and lower only in the vertical position. If the side-winding of a load occurs, damage to the crane will result.

To prevent the dangerous and expensive practice of side-pulling, Liftco designed and patented the Side Pull Prevention Device which works on the angle of the side pull of the rope.

The Side Pull Preventer acts as a rope guide protector ensuring safety in the workplace as all limits remain operative. In addition, this device also offers various degrees of adjustment to accommodate different angles.

The Load Limiter is another popular choice. This device is easy to install and is available for all capacity cranes.

It protects against overloading the crane and supporting structures, reducing the risk of accidents.

Not only is the Load Limiter available preset, it can easily be calibrated on site and can be automatically reset by reducing the load.

Overall, this product will help reduce maintenance costs and minimize downtime.
